Who Should Attend: Aimed at those who have little or no knowledge of the software and wish to create and edit their own spreadsheets.

Pre-requisites: No prior knowledge required.

Course Objectives: At the end of this 1 day course the user will be able to create, edit and print a spreadsheet which includes named ranges and formulae with relative and absolute cell addressing.

Course Content Getting Started: Product overview. Open an existing spreadsheet and quickly navigate around the data. Insert and edit data. Use Save and Save As. Zoom settings.

Creating a new spreadsheet: Learn how to name and reorder the worksheets in the workbook. Entering text and numerical data, resize columns, insert/delete worksheets. Copy and paste data, name cells and ranges.

Simple Formula: Create simple calculations into the spreadsheet—addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Working with BODMAS. Calculate percentages.

More Formula: Find the min, max and average number. Work with dates in a formula. Understand when to use Relative and Absolute cell addresses.

Formatting Cells: Apply borders and shading to selected cells. Set font attributes such as bold, italic and colour. Select alignment of text. Choose number formatting. Rotate and wrap text within a cell.

Printing: Working with Print preview. Set page breaks. Change page orientation and scale to fit onto a set number of pages. Create headers and footers.
